Reading Diverse Books

Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers,

It is so important to read books that help us to see all of the unique people in our world. We spend a lot of time in Library Class learning about the beautiful word unique, which means special and different. Every single human being on earth is unique. Absolutely no one should be treated differently because of the color of their skin. No two people on planet Earth are the same. That is a reason to celebrate! These books help us learn about and explore these ideas.

Libraries are for everyone and the books in our libraries must reflect that.

Es tan importante leer libros que nos ayudan a ver a todas las personas únicas en nuestro mundo. Nosotros pasamos mucho tiempo en la clase de la biblioteca aprendiendo sobre la palabra hermosa, “único/única,” que significa, especial y diferente. Cada ser humano en este mundo es único. Absolutamente nadie debe de ser tratado de una manera diferente por el color de su piel. No hay dos personas en el planeta tierra que son iguales. ¡Eso, es algo para celebrar! Estos libros nos ayudan a aprender y explorar estas ideas.

Las bibliotecas son para todos y los libros en nuestras bibliotecas deben de reflexionar eso.
