Unit: Properties of Matter

They learned that:

  • Solids have a definite shape.
  • Liquids and gases take the shape of their container.
  • Solids, liquids and gases have different properties.
  • In the water cycle, we can see the different states of matter.

Liquids

Liquids are fluids that take the shape of the container in which they are poured. Check the picture below to see how liquids can be classified. Watch the video with our expert, Albin, who will help you identify the liquids and their properties.

Students in 1-305 created their own version of the water cycle during OT Time with Ms. Olmo

Make sure to check our bulletin board outside of the classroom to learn more about the water cycle.

Ms. Olmo our occupational therapist works on a class project every week. We recently explored erosion! Students built mountains and valleys and observed the effects of erosion as a "storm" approached.

Students in 305 are meteorologists, they report the weather every day!
